MALAYSIAN pop band Insomniacks has been busy promoting its latest release, a duet called 'Belum Mulai', which features Indonesian star Nabila Taqiyyah.
The group was in Jakarta last month for its first live acoustic show and was pleasantly surprised by the warm reception it garnered there.
"We were genuinely surprised and thrilled to hear the audience singing along with us right from the start.
"The support we've received has been incredibly encouraging and we are very happy with the response," said the group in a recent statement,
The live performance sessions with Nabila during radio promotions proved to be a highlight for the band.
"Performing with Nabila was super fun and she played a significant role in making our radio interviews engaging and lively," said the band.
The media tour in Jakarta saw Insomniacks visiting various media organisations, which included the radio stations Okezone, Celebrity, Synchronize, OPPAL Jam Station, and I-Radio.
The boys were also guests at the Indonesian YouTube office, as well as the IDN Times group and Indomusikgram channel.
'Belum Mulai' marks Insomniacks' first foray into Indonesian music and is the lead track to its recently released third album, 'TEMAN EP'.
During the launch event for the eight-song album at Wow Plaza in LaLaport BBCC, KL, fans got to see Insomniacks perform the tracks live with Nabila, who sang on 'Belum Mulai' and one of her own songs.
The group, made up of Iqie (vocals and guitar), Iskandar (bass) and Danial (guitar) have several other projects in the pipeline for the rest of the year.
Fans can expect another Indonesian song written by Clara, with contributions from the talented Toh Pati in composing and production.
"We have a lot in store for our fans. Stay tuned for these new releases and projects!" said the band.
