KUALA LUMPUR: Two elephants from the Wildlife and National Parks Department's National Elephant Conservation Centre were recently spotted on the bed of a lorry at a petrol station in the country.
A 20-second video clip posted on the Reddit social network by @madmoz2018 showed footage of the vehicle carrying the elephants as it entered the petrol station and parked near a gas pump.
The elephants stood motionless on the lorry, their heads only slightly moving, captivating netizens with their charm.
Netizens showed their admiration for the creatures in the comment section.
User @Comfortable_Baby_66 said Malaysia's appeal lies in its "many random but funny instances", while @azen96 playfully suggested that even elephants "use Grab", referring to the e-hailing service.
Some users said this event wasn't uncommon.
@harhamdan admitted to seeing the same event when driving to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport last year, while user @atreyudevil reportedly saw a lorry transporting rescued elephants from Kuantan, Pahang to Kuala Lumpur, stating that "every time the lorry signaled to change lanes, the elephants would stick out its truck in the same direction".
