KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall have impacted the city and several states, with conditions expected to persist until 1pm today, as forecast by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a warning issued on its Facebook page today, it said the affected states are Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar dan Bandar Baharu), Penang, Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Manjung and Bagan Datuk), Pahang (Bentong and Rompin), Selangor and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
Several regions in the southern part of the country, including areas such as Negri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson, Rembau and Tampin), Melaka and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Baru).
According to MetMalaysia, the western part of Malaysia is primarily affected by thunderstorms and heavy rain, while the eastern regions remained unaffected today.
