SEPANG: Former Media Prima Bhd staff members expressed their gratitude to their ex-colleagues for sponsoring their umrah pilgrimage.
Abd Rahim Mohamed Haris, 53, now an entrepreneur, said he was offered to perform the umrah about three months ago.
"This will be my first Umrah. I didn't expect this opportunity. I simply accepted it without overthinking.
"Thank you very much for the invitation. May everyone be blessed with abundant rezeki in this world and the hereafter," he said.
Present to send off the pilgrims were Media Prima group chairman Datuk Seri Syed Hussian Aljunid and Media Prima Television Networks and Primeworks Studios chief executive officer Nini Yusof.
Zaiti Akmam Keria, 52, a former finance department employee, expressed her deep appreciation for this chance, having longed to go for years.
"I am grateful, I really wanted to go but I did not have the opportunity. In the past, it was affordable but I had financial constraints.
"Only Allah can repay this kindness (to those who sponsored her trip)," she said.
Jaffree Baharuddin, 61, who is performing the umrah with three of his children, expressed his gratitude for this opportunity, saying that MPB staff members helped him realise his dream.
"I feel very grateful because there are also MPB staff members who contributed to help me perform umrah.
"While I had the intention to perform umrah, receiving this blessing truly eases the burden," he said.
