KUALA LUMPUR: The Media Prima Bhd (MPB) Badminton Club Sri Pentas successfully defended its MPB badminton championship title once again this year.
Similar to last year, the team, made up of MPB Television Network employees, triumphed over the Media Prima Audio (ChaMPAion) team.
Meanwhile, third place was secured by the New Straits Times, and fourth place went to Red Dragon PTSB.
The fifth and sixth places were shared by the Media Prima Club II and Metro Smasher, followed by Omnia, Big 3, and Group of Finance.
The prizes were presented by New Straits Times Press group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman.
The tournament which was held in Petaling Jaya today, was organised by MPB's Human Resource Department and Kelab Sukan NSTP, offering a total cash prize of RM3,888.
This tournament featured 10 teams, each comprising eight players, made up of two men's doubles, one women's doubles, and one reserve for men and women respectively.
