KUALA LUMPUR: Fashion designers Razman Din, 53, and Razmi Abdul Rahman, 46, have refused to settle out of court with the individual accused of tarnishing their reputation and causing them physical harm.
The designers, with over 25 years of experience, expressed their disappointment in an Instagram Story post, rejecting any attempts at reconciliation, Harian Metro reported.
"Do not send representatives to ask us to withdraw the case or settle out of court.
"You've humiliated us, caused us trauma, and burdened us with medical costs.
"If you truly regret your actions, pay both of us RM500,000 in compensation and hold a press conference to apologise for the whole of Malaysia to see. That is, if you have the money," they said.
Razman and Razmi warned the person involved to respect the legal process and refrain from contacting them.
"We won't remain silent. Let the authorities handle this, and don't approach us unless it's business-related," they said.
The incident occurred on Jan 8 during an awards ceremony at a Petaling Jaya hotel, where a freelance photographer allegedly attacked the duo, injuring their cheeks with his camera.
On Jan 10, the accused photographer pleaded not guilty at the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court to two charges of causing injury.
