KUALA LUMPUR: Popular fashion designers Razman and Razmi, also known as Razman Razmi, suffered facial injuries after being attacked by a photographer at a hotel in Petaling Jaya last night.
It is learnt that the duo were attending an awards show at the hotel, when they were assaulted around 8.40pm.
Razman and Razmi, best known as the men behind celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida's colourful outfits, were allegedly hit by the photographer with his camera when a reporter was interviewing Vida outside the hotel's ballroom.
Razman and Razmi were subsequently given emergency treatment and lodged a police report, accompanied by the event's organisers.
In a news report today, Vida or Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman said that she was shocked that her friends were assaulted.
"It was really a shock for me, I've never seen something like this happening in front of my eyes," she said.
"Why couldn't this person discuss things with Razman and Razmi if he had a problem with them? It's just wrong to resort to such violence."
Vida also said that the designers' problems with the photographer was "not related to debt".
Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Jaafar confirmed receiving a report about the incident.
He said that the case was still under investigation.
Despite the assault on Razman and Razmi, the awards show continued for the next two hours.
