KUALA LUMPUR: Negri Sembilan and Terengganu have booked their spots in the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals, ending the campaigns of Police and Melaka respectively.
At the Selayang Stadium on Friday, Negri overturned a round of 16 first-leg deficit with a commanding 3-0 victory over Police to advance with a 4-2 aggregate win.
Negri scored through Jacque Faye (seventh minute), Hadin Azman (53rd) and A. Selvan (80th).
At the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Terengganu, who won the first leg 4-1, held Melaka to a goalless draw.
Both sides struggled to find the back of the net in wet conditions.
Negri and Terengganu will meet in the quarter-finals.
