KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia hammered Singapore 5-0 in the Under-19 Asean Championship to record their second win in Group C in Surabaya, Indonesia, on Monday.
Juan Torres Garrido's side dominated the match at Gelora 10 November Stadium and took only seven minutes to open the floodgates through Ridzwan Rosli.
Malaysia added a second goal five minutes later through Naim Zainudin.
G. Pavithran scored Malaysia's third goal in the first-half of stoppage time. Farish Danish (73rd minute) and Izzat Syahir (82nd minute) added to the tally in the second half.
In the opening match last week, Malaysia routed Brunei 11-0.
Malaysia will conclude their Group C campaign against Thailand at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium on Thursday.
