KUALA LUMPUR: Mixed doubles world No. 5 Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei made a rousing start by storming into the second round of the Malaysian Open today (Jan 7).
The third-seeded Malaysians defeated world No. 40 Wu Hsuan Yi-Yang Chu Yun of Taiwan 21-8, 21-9 in a 26-minute first round clash.
It was the first meeting between the two pairs.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei will next meet Lu Ming Che-Hung En Tzu of Taiwan on Thursday.
