#NSTviral: 'Crazy, selling gas in a house. The whole kampung can burn' [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry enforcement raid on a house in which liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) being sold in a house has received support from social media users.

In a TikTok video posted by the Perak ministry, they confiscated five filled LPG gas cylinders and four empty LPG gas cylinders that were stored in a house.

A woman was seen in the video telling the officers that she sold the gas in the house for RM27 each.

One of the officers said the operation was conducted following complaints from the public.

She said the action was taken after the individual involved had violated the Control of Supplies Act 1961.

The video begins with a ministry officer saying: "Ini kerja gila, jual gas dalam rumah. Kalau terbakar, habis satu kampung hangus! (This is crazy work. If there's a fire, the whole village will burn down!)"

It caught the attention of many social media users, who welcomed the action taken against the house owner.

"Well done, Perak KPDN," said @jengka14pahang.

Another user, @lemonlemon2027, said: "Awesome, KPDN, go all out."

Other social media users encouraged the ministry's officers to continue their efforts in other areas of Perak as other illegal activities were suspected to be going on.
