In the video, a policeman is performing his usual duties when he is approached by a middle-aged man in need of help.
Desperate to provide for his family, the father of two resorted to this action to earn some money.
The man stopped by the roadside and showed the officer his genuine one-year-old G-Shock watch, asking if he was interested in buying it for RM100.
However, the officer felt it was unsafe to stop on the highway and asked the man to follow him to a safer location.
Once they moved to a safer spot, the officer engaged the man in conversation and learned that he was ill and seeking employment in the Puchong area.
"I have two kids, one in Form 4 and the other in Standard 6," the man said in the video.
Touched by the father's dedication, the officer offered the man some money to help him out, and told the man to keep the watch.
Initially, the man refused but finally accepted the RM30 from the officer, expressing gratitude for the policeman's kindness.
The video prompted many viewers to express their heartfelt concern and support for the jobless man.
"I once encountered a Malay man crying for help because he was too embarrassed to borrow money for his two-year-old child's milk. He is divorced, and the police station was his last resort for seeking help," commented user @ejamsutra.
"Remember, we might face hard times, but there is always someone who has it worse than us," said user @shakira_md_yusof.
