PETALING JAYA: Police are looking for a man who became aggressive and performed handbrake turns after being told not to smoke at a petrol station.
District police chief Superintendent M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said police detected a viral video of the incident on social media at around 8am today.
"The video shows an individual smoking a cigarette at a petrol station in Damansara Damai.
"He behaved in an aggressive manner and performed dangerous manouvers with his car after being advised by another motorist to not smoke at the petrol station.
"The video showed the individual blocking the other motorists vehicle and driving recklessly," he said.
He added that police have opened an investigation under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving in a reckless and dangerous manner.
"Police are working on identifying the individual in question and have advised the public against acting in any manner that could endanger lives, damage property of threaten the safety of others.
"We also urge anyone with information on the case to lodge a report and assist with further investigations," he said.
