DSAT Group plans to sue Kedah MB Sanusi for RM1bil

KUALA LUMPUR: DSAT Group Sdn Bhd plans to sue Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Sanusi Md Nor for RM1 billion over remarks he made about the company's plans to take over the state's football club.

DSAT Group chief executive, Datuk Seri Azizul Tandek said the company has decided to take legal action against Sanusi for the remarks he made at a press conference on Nov 7.

"See you in court," Azizul said in a Facebook post last night.

In the press conference, Sanusi said any party looking to take over Kedah Darul Aman F.C. must have the financial capability to do so and not act like a "scammer".

Before this, DSAT Group through its subsidiary, Mahsuri Medical Centre, voiced its intention to take over KDA F.C. which is facing financial difficulties.

The club's owner, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Daud Bakar initially asked the company to enter negotiations but reportedly withdrew the invitation to do so.

At the time of publication, Sanusi could not be reached for comment.
