JOHOR BARU: Police are investigating the brutal attack of a 35-year-old real estate agent who was rammed by a car and slashed by five men in an incident that occurred last night.
The attack took place at 10pm near a car dealership on Jalan Kebun Teh, according to a report by China Press.
The victim, a top-performing agent residing in Iskandar Puteri, succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital.
A witness living nearby reported hearing a commotion and seeing the victim lying in a pool of blood.
"The car was seen speeding past, making a U-turn, and ramming into the victim. Five men then exited the vehicle and attacked him with sharp weapons," the witness claimed.
The victim had reportedly parked his car near a hotel before being pursued to the site of the attack.
Sources revealed that he had recently been recognised as his company's top sales performer.
Police have confirmed the case and said that investigations were ongoing.
