Tunku Azizah now a student at IIUM

KUALA LUMPUR: Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, has announced that she has returned to being a student at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

The news was shared via her official TikTok account @cmspahang yesterday.

She also posted a picture of herself holding her student ID card, featuring the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization, with the caption "Back to school, pray for me".

The announcement garnered attention from TikTok users, who expressed excitement at her decision to continue her studies.

Some netizens even shared their hopes of meeting her at the university and offered some light-hearted advice.

"Your Highness, congratulations on becoming an IIUM student. I hope we can meet at any of the lectures soon, amen," said one TikTok user.

"Don't be late with your assignments, Your Highness," another joked.

IIUM also shared Tunku Azizah's post about the news on their official Facebook page.

It was previously reported that Tunku Azizah had been reappointed as the Head of the Constitution at the IIUM for a five-year term, effective from Jan 31, 2024, with the approval of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong at the time, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.
