PUTRAJAYA: The Cabinet has congratulated Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on being conferred the prestigious Order of the Sun of Peru, El Sol del Peru.
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said the investiture of the award by Peruvian President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra was both an honour and a source of pride, not only for the prime minister but also for the nation.
"The cabinet congratulates the prime minister on receiving this award, which is considered one of the highest honours in Peru.
"This is both an honour and a source of pride, not only for the prime minister but also for our nation," he said during his weekly press conference today.
Yesterday, Anwar was conferred the prestigious Order of the Sun of Peru, El Sol del Peru.
