KUALA LUMPUR: The Home Ministry has received an allocation of RM19.5 billion under the 2025 Budget, which is an increase of RM500 million as compared to this year's allocation.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said that more than RM2.12 billion of next year's allocation is for specific assets of uniformed agencies, including the police.
"More than RM2.12 billion is allocated for specific assets for the Royal Malaysia Police and other uniformed agencies under the Home Ministry to guarantee the country's security via integrated efforts. These efforts are conducted to prevent any increase of crime besides preventing any negative elements that could lead to public disorder," he said.
Anwar said imternal security remained a priority for the government as it ensures that the Malaysia's sovereignty was defended against any threat.
"The unity among the various races and religions which we have established for so long must be defended," he said.
