KUALA LUMPUR: The government is building a new district police headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and a new state police headquarters for Pahang.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced this when tabling the 2025 Budget in Parliament today.
He said RM2.1 billion is being allocated for the construction of state and district police headquarters as well as other police stations. The construction will begin next year.
"Several new police stations will be built next year at a cost of RM2.1 billion, including the Pahang contingent police headquarters, Wangsa Maju district police headquarters, Petaling Jaya district police headquarters and Tanjung Minyak police station, Melaka."
Anwar said the Home Ministry will receive RM19.5 billion, which is an increase of RM500 million from the allocation the ministry received this year.
