KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is currently investigating five companies linked to individuals detained in the ongoing graft probe involving Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI).
"We are currently reviewing five companies because it is said that there are shares in these companies involving individuals who were detained and the suspected politician in question," said MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki today.
The investigation follows a raid on six more premises following an investigation into a multi-million ringgit corruption scandal involving sand mining concessions linked to Selangor MBI.
Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari's press secretary Jay Jay Denis has since said that Selangor MBI will extend its full cooperation to the authorities on their investigation.
