PUTRAJAYA: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah have arrived at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) to grace the 2024/1446H National-level Maulidur Rasul celebration.
Accompanied by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Their Majesties arrived at 9.30am to attend this year's celebration, themed 'Al-Falah Pemacu Malaysia Madani'.
Present was Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, along with other top civil servants of the country.
The event was organised by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), with participation from 6,000 people representing 131 contingents from ministries, statutory bodies, and private agencies.
Sultan Ibrahim is expected to present the Anugerah Perdana and six Anugerah Maulidur Rasul awards during the event.
These awards recognise individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of the community and the nation.
Recipients were selected based on their contributions in their respective fields, which have positively impacted the well-being and prosperity of society.
