KUALA LUMPUR: Seven premises in Danau Kota were ordered by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to immediately close their operations for committing offences under the Local Government Act 1976.
During an operation dubbed Op KL Strike Force yesterday, DBKL also issued 25 compound notices to premises found to have committed offences under the same Act.
The operation also led to the arrest of nine individuals by the Immigration Department for further investigation.
In a Facebook post DBKL said the operation, which targeted foreign nationals, took place around Jalan 2/23D and 3/23D in Danau Kota, Wangsa Maju.
The Op KL Strike Force was a joint operation between City Hall, the Health and Environmental Department and the Wangsa Maju branch office.
It also involved key partner agencies such as the police, the Immigration Department and the Customs Department.
City Hall said it will continue its enforcement actions and monitoring efforts at identified hotspots on an ongoing basis.
