Pahang MB allowed home after surgery

KUANTAN: Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, who underwent surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on June 7, was allowed to return home today.

In a Facebook posting, Wan Rosdy said he was given the green light to return home after spending eight days in IJN.

"At the moment, I have been advised to get ample rest and continue the follow-up treatments. Thank you to the medical team who treated me during my stay at IJN.

"I appreciate those who prayed for my wellbeing and gave me a lot of support. InsyaAllah, once I recover, I will return to perform my duties as usual."

On June 6, Pahang State Secretary Datuk Seri Zulkifli Yaacob said Wan Rosdy was admitted to IJN until a date decided by the doctor.

Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also deputy prime minister, were among those who visited Wan Rosdy in IJN.
