KUALA LUMPUR: A woman died after an electrical switch box on the 14th floor of an apartment building in Petaling Jaya caught fire.
The Fire and Rescue Department, in a statement, said it received a distress call at 8.39am this morning.
"The fire was successfully extinguished. Three victims were involved.
"Firefighters rescued a 29-year-old male and a 24-year-old female, while one female victim, aged 31, was confirmed dead by the Health Ministry."
Twenty-one firefighters from the Damansara, Petaling Jaya, and Sungai Buloh stations, led by Senior Fire Officer II Hasnol Hadi Mohamed Roslan, were deployed to the scene.
