#SHOWBIZ: Stop slandering my deceased brother Afham, says singer Aufahanie

KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Aufahanie Mokhtar has urged a user on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) to delete a post regarding the recent tragic passing of her elder brother, Muhammad Nidza Afham Mokhtar.

Taking to the same platform, Aufahanie, 21, questioned the said netizen's motive, who had claimed that Afham's passing was related to an alleged problem he had with his girlfriend.

"Who are you to claim as such, and as if you were very close to my brother and his girlfriend?

"While our family is still waiting for further details from the hospital, here you are, already making a statement that his death was due to a problem they had," she wrote.

"My brother's girlfriend is a decent woman.

"Had it not been for her, we wouldn't have found out about him going missing earlier on and wouldn't even have known where to start looking for him," said Aufahanie, who also insisted that the person should stop spreading lies on the matter.

She insisted that the claim that they were having problems in their relationship was untrue, seeing that the couple went to a wedding exhibition last Sunday, in preparation for their wedding.

She also urged the person to furnish the police with further information if that person had any proof to back up the alleged statement.

Failing which, she advised the X user to delete the slanderous post.
