#SHOWBIZ: Ki Misri's focus on good people

HIS musical journey began in June 2020 when he uploaded a dozen self-written songs on YouTube.

When his cover versions of 'Arjuna Beta' and 'Sesuatu Di Jogja' received attention from listeners in Malaysia and Indonesia, Warner Music Malaysia signed him on.

Amir Zaki Misri, better known as Ki Misri, has just released his third single 'Orang Baik', which was composed by Barr Hadiff and Rudy Iskandar of Nastia.

The 22-year-old Bachelor of Digital Marketing student at Universiti Teknologi Mara currently undergoing industrial training said: "The song is about appreciating the people who always support us and give us encouragement."

"Some people always think about other people's bad words and get themselves depressed. There should be no need for that.

"Just think about the good people who are always with us because that is more important."

The young talent's new track features a folk pop vibe usually synonymous with much older artistes.

"I tend to write stories on the human condition and put it to melody and rhythm, talking about things that people might not be able to express.

"The process of producing a work takes a long time and 'Orang Baik' took four months to complete, while the recording process was done at Studio Mixbro Records belonging to Rudy Nastia."

Ki Misri added: "My hope is that the song will be heard by the right people; the people who need to know that it is important to think about the people who are always with us and ignore the opposite."
