KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed his concern for comedian and actor, Azlee Jaafar, who is facing heart problems.
In a post on Facebook, Anwar said that his Political Secretary, Farhan Fauzi, visited the Scenario member at his residence today.
Azlee had just undergone a heart stent procedure at the National Heart Institute (IJN) on June 6.
"Political Secretary, Farhan Fauzi today represented me to present a donation to the comedian and actor, Azlee Jaafar.
"He previously received treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) after suffering a heart attack at home.
"Alhamdulillah, he was allowed to go home and his health improved. Farhan also presented a donation on my behalf to ease the burden on him and his family," he wrote.
In the same message, Anwar also prayed for his recovery and good health and for him to be able to continue his work as an artiste.
"Praying that Azlee will be given good health to continue to work, God willing," he said.
Earlier, Azlee went to a clinic near his home after having difficulty breathing, before being advised to go to Sungai Buloh Hospital (HSB) on June 6.
HSB transferred Azlee to IJN to receive further treatment, before undergoing surgery and a stent placement procedure on the same day.
