Bitcoin continued its rally after breaching the US$100,000 mark earlier today as investors expect a more crypto-friendly regulatory framework under Donald Trump's administration.
Prices soared after Trump announced his plans to nominate cryptocurrency advocate Paul Atkins as the next chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Bitcoin rose to RM454,635, Ethereum was higher at RM17,269 and Solana traded at RM1,037.
The FBM KLCI closed higher at 1,615 points lifted by banking heavyweights
The ringgit strengthened against the dollar at 4.4240.
