KUALA LUMPUR: Share prices of YTL Power International Bhd and its parent YTL Corporation Bhd jumped in early trade.
As of 10:50 am, YTL Power emerged as one of the top gainers, adding 20 sen to RM3.10. The stock saw 16.18 million shares traded.
Its shares rose as much as 7.6 per cent to RM3.12 versus Friday's closing price of RM2.90.
Meanwhile, YTL Corp's share price rose as much as 8.5 per cent to RM1.92 from its closing price on Friday of RM1.77.
Year-to-date, YTL Power's share price was up 20.62 per cent or 53 sen, while YTL Corp saw its shares tumble 1.04 per cent or two sen.
YTL Power has been under the spotlight following investigations by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on its 60-per cent owned YTL Communications Sdn Bhd, which is involved in the 1BestariNet project.
