KUALA LUMPUR: KPJ Healthcare Bhd has appointed Mohd Khairul Izzad Mohammed Shamsudin as its new chief financial officer (CFO) effective from June 10.
Izzad Shamsudin will succeed Norhaizam Mohammad, who has served the company since 2008.
Izzad Shamsudin brings with him over 18 years of experience in financial leadership and strategic management, having held key roles in various prestigious organisations.
Prior to joining KPJ Healthcare, he was senior general manager of group finance at MISC Bhd, where he led the transformation of the finance function, optimised processes through technology and drove strategic financial leadership.
His extensive career includes tenures at QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd, where he served as group CFO and Deloitte, where he was a partner and member of the country's senior leadership team.

"His proven track record of financial leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental as we continue to advance our commitment to 'Care for Life,' ensuring the highest standards of patient-centric care and driving growth in the industry," he added.
KPJ Healthcare also extended its gratitude to Norhaizam for her contributions over the past 16 years.
"Norhaizam's tenure has been marked by significant achievements, including the successful issuance of KPJ Healthcare's inaugural sustainability sukuk in 2022," it said.
