Champions SRG gear up for Snapdragon challenge

KUALA LUMPUR: Following a historic 2024, Selangor Red Giants (SRG) are gearing up for their new season in the Snapdragon Pro Series next month.

Last year, SRG retained their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) national title and won the Mid-Season Cup in Riyadh.

The team also finished third at the MLBB M6 World Championship.

Four SRG players were also instrumental in Malaysia's gold medal victory in the MLBB event at the World eSports Championships in Riyadh.

SRG are now looking to start their 2025 season with a strong showing at the Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Finals.

Team manager Amir Syafiq Rashid confirmed that SRG will retain their roster, with Ilman Zareef "Gojes" Zulkifli the only departure.

He has joined Homebois on loan.

"The players and coaches want to remain together for the season," said Amir.

"After the M6 World Championship, we were given a month off. We will return to our gaming house on Jan 20 to begin preparations for the new season."

As national champions, SRG have earned a direct entry into the Challenge Finals of the Snapdragon Pro Series, scheduled at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre on Feb 10-16.
