Todak, Homebois join SRG in MLBB Snapdragon Challenge

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's Homebois and Todak have been invited for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Challenge Season of the Snapdragon Pro Series on Jan 6-12.

They will join Selangor Red Giants (SRG), who finished third at the M6 World Championships recently.

Other teams invited to the championship include Indonesia's M1 world champions Evos Glory and Bigetron Alpha; the Philippines' Team Liquid PH and Blacklist International; Singapore's RSG SG; and Cambodia's Team Flash KH.

Teams that qualified on merit through the Open Finals held on Nov 4-10 are Alter Ego, Team Liquid ID, Evos Holy, RRQ Hoshi (Indonesia), Aurora, M6 world champions Fnatic Onic PH, Lazy Esports (the Philippines) and AI Esports (Myanmar).

The 16 teams will be divided into four groups.

Group winners will progress to the Challenge Finals, while second-place teams will enter the Last Chance Qualifiers, where only two will advance.

Todak, a three-time MLBB Professional League Malaysia (MPLMY) champion, will be represented by Idreen Abdul Jamal (Momo), Zaed Hakimi (Zaed), Zaim Amir Izat (Zaimsempoi), Dhiwa Zulpiqar (Deee) and Amy Angelo Erwin (Hazelnut).

Captain Danial "Cikugais" Fuad will not join the team, as he is taking time off to spend with his family after leading Todak to a third-place finish in the MPLMY playoffs in November.

Homebois will reveal their lineup in the new year, with rumours of high-profile foreign recruits joining the former MPLMY champions.

Should Todak and Homebois reach the Challenge Finals, Malaysia will have three representatives in the tournament's final phase.

SRG, the reigning national MLBB champions, received a direct invite to the Challenge Finals.

The group stage and Last Chance Qualifiers will be held online, while the Challenge Finals will take place at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Baru on Feb 10-16.
