KUALA LUMPUR: The FA of Malaysia (FAM) said today that the suspension of the Perlis FA (PFA) was carried out in accordance with the national body's constitution and established procedures.
PFA filed a lawsuit against FAM at the Kangar High Court on Friday, challenging the national body's decision to suspend PFA's membership without proper procedure on Dec 4.
FAM secretary-general, Datuk Noor Azman Rahman, said that every decision made was not rushed or influenced by any particular agenda to harm the PFA.
"We do not act without proper consideration, as all actions align with the association's constitution and follow the established procedures," he said today.
FAM suspended PFA following the latter's failure to comply with world body FIFA's directive to pay outstanding wages, totalling RM998,000, to former PFA football director Matt Holland in 2019.
