KUALA LUMPUR: "We knew it would be hard to get a penalty and I'm proud of the referee's (Razlan Joffri Ali) decision," said Perak head coach Yusri Che Lah with an apparently cynical laugh.
This came after Yusri was asked whether it was fair that Perak were denied a penalty, but Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) got one in their 5-0 loss at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium yesterday.
Yusri pointed out that fans from all over the nation watched the match, but he added that humans do make mistakes.
"We forgive but we may also ask why we didn't get the penalty. It might also be the contact made by my players on JDT to gain the penalty but I wasn't sure enough to say anything.
"One thing for sure is that it's tough to score in SSI," laughed Yusri during the post-match press conference in Iskandar Puteri.
