KUALA LUMPUR: Sabah cruised to a 4-0 victory over Penang, climbing to third in the Super League today.
The Rhinos struck early at City Stadium, with Saddil Ramdani scoring in the second minute and Gabriel Peres doubling the lead four minutes later.
Stuart Wilkin added a third in the 35th minute.
Sabah's dominance continued into the second half, with centre-back Dominic Tan sealing the win with a fourth goal in the 50th minute.
The victory brings Sabah within six points of second-placed Selangor (26 points).
In Alor Setar, Police held Kedah to a 1-1 draw.
Cleylton Dos Santos put the hosts ahead in the 30th minute, but Timothy Oluwaseun equalised for Police in the 57th.
Meanwhile, Sri Pahang salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw against Kelantan Darul Naim in Kota Bahru.
The Golden Deer took the lead in the 22nd minute through captain Oday Kharoub, but Adam Nor Azlin equalised for Fandi Ahmad's side in the 60th minute.
