KUALA LUMPUR: Perak are determined to build on their recent success when they host KL City in Ipoh on Saturday.
After edging Negri Sembilan 1-0 last week, Perak sit in ninth position with nine points from eight matches.
"We need points to climb up the standings," said coach Yusri Che Lah.
Despite the recent win, Yusri is concerned about his team's ability to score.
"I worry when we do not take our chances. Too many misses will be costly.
"My players show good effort in every match but still need to improve, said Yusri, adding that he hopes the fans will turn up at the Perak Stadium to support his team.
KL City, meanwhile, are riding high after their 5-0 demolishing of Kedah.
The City Boys are 10th with eight points from nine matches.
The team were docked six points earlier in the season for a club licensing violation and coach Miroslav Kuljanac hopes their recent performance can spark a turnaround.
