KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah advanced to the India Open quarter-finals today after their Chinese opponents retired.
Pearly-Thinaah were leading 14-4 in the first game when Jia Yi Fan-Zhang Shu Xian retired in the second round match at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi.
World No.7 Pearly-Thinaah will take on either hosts Tanisha Crasto-Ashwini Ponappa or Japan's Yuki Fukushima-Mayu Matsumoto in the last eight.
