The world No. 5 Malaysians earned a battling 17-21, 21-18, 21-15 win in 63 minutes over the world No. 6 Chinese duo in Group A.
Aaron-Wooi Yik thus avenged their defeat by Ji Ting-Xiang Yu in the quarter-finals of the China Masters last month, and improved their chances of qualifying for the WTF semi-finals.
