KUALA LUMPUR: A visitor's smartphone at Melaka Zoo was destroyed after being 'seized' by an elephant.
In a viral 23-second TikTok video posted by @ainsebbie, the visitor's phone was grabbed by the elephant and then 'destroyed' by the animal.
Later, the elephant threw the phone to the ground, leaving it shattered.
In a follow-up video, @ain sebbie showed that the phone was collected by the zoo's staff and returned to the visitor.
In the comments section, she mentioned that the incident happened so quickly that they did not have the chance to seek help from the zoo workers.
Many TikTok users shared humorous comments, including suggestions for the visitor to use a brand of super glue associated with elephants, commonly known as 'gam gajah', to fix the phone.
Another user speculated that the elephant's actions might have been due to frustration because the visitor did not feed it.
Other users simply laughed at the video and suggested that it would be hard to stay angry with the elephant, given how adorable the animal looked.
