KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) yesterday demolished illegal livestock enclosures in Taman Golden on Jalan Ipoh.
In a Facebook post, DBKL said that the operation targeted enclosures housing animals such as chickens, ducks, and goats, which were constructed without approval.
"The demolition was carried out due to violations under Section 46 of the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974, as the structures obstructed public drains, roads, and pathways.
"All debris from the demolished structures has been disposed of, and the livestock has been relocated to the Vector Unit of DBKL's Health and Environment Department (JKAS) for further recording and documentation," the post said.
The operation involved the police, Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), and Perbadanan Pengurusan Sisa Pepejal dan Pembersihan Awam and Alam Flora Sdn Bhd.
DBKL says it will continue enforcement and monitoring at identified hotspots.
