KOTA KINABALU: Newly appointed police officers are reminded to uphold integrity, transparency, and responsibility in carrying out their entrusted duties.
Sabah police commissioner, Datuk Jauteh Dikun, said that integrity remains a priority and must become a cultural norm within the police force.
"Do not be hypocritical within the force. Always uphold integrity, transparency, and responsibility. Perform your duties with diligence, prudence, and a strong sense of accountability.
"Integrity must remain our priority and become a shared culture among all members of the force. This will enhance public trust in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM)," he said.
He said this during a special assembly and briefing session with the Probationary Inspectors Batch 2/2024 at the Auditorium of the Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) yesterday.
Also present was Sabah deputy police commissioner, Datuk Shahurinain Jais.
Jauteh further advised newly appointed officers to become exemplary senior officers.
"Plan your financial management wisely and never forget the sacrifices and contributions of your parents who have supported you to this point," he added.
A total of 20 probationary inspectors reported to the Sabah Contingent and will begin their assignments at designated district police headquarters (IPD) or departments starting today.
