KAJANG: A 19-year-old foreign student at a public university fell to her death from the 33rd floor, police said.
Initial investigations showed that the victim tried to exit a bathroom through the window as the door was broken.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said the incident occurred about 6.34pm.
"A member of the public made a report about a woman lying in a pool of blood at the corridor of the 12th floor."
Medical personnel declared the woman dead at the scene.
"The victim is believed to have slipped and fallen from the 33rd floor, landing on the 12th floor corridor," Naazron said.
"The victim's body was sent to Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem."
The autopsy conducted today confirmed the cause of death as "multiple injuries resulting from a fall from a height".
The case is being investigated as sudden death.
