KULAI: A 21-year-old Singaporean woman riding pillion was killed when the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10 she was on crashed into the road barriers at Km49.5 of the North-South Expressway (southbound) today.
She died at the scene from head injuries.
Her body was later transferred to Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital.
The 23-year-old rider, also a Singaporean, sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to the same hospital for treatment.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Tan Seng Lee said the duo was travelling southbound when the motorcycle lost control and crashed at 9.15am.
