KUALA TERENGGANU: The number of flood victims in Terengganu continues to decline to 7,423 individuals from 1,873 families.
As of 8 am, residents affected by the floods have been placed in 31 temporary evacuation centres (PPS) across six districts.
The six districts still affected by the floods are Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, Setiu, and Kuala Nerus.
According to the Secretariat of the Terengganu State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN), Kuala Nerus is still recording the highest number of victims, with 4,266 individuals from 1,126 families in 13 PPS.
In Dungun, nine PPS remain open to accommodate 1,726 victims from 397 families, while 1,253 victims from 304 families are in five PPS in Kuala Terengganu.
Meanwhile, 95 victims (18 families) are in two PPS in Setiu, and the Dewan Sivik Merchang PPS in Marang is housing 50 victims from 16 families.
In Hulu Terengganu, 33 victims (12 families) are at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Tanggol PPS.
Currently, the weather is improving in several areas of Terengganu.
