PM calls for private sector collaboration in helping flood victims

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged the private sector to join forces in supporting flood victims across the country.

In a Facebook post, Anwar called on all parties to step up and collaborate to alleviate the burden of flood-affected communities, ensuring they could return to normalcy.

"To the private sector, let us face this challenge together and ignite the spirit of unity by participating in aid missions to assist those in need during these difficult times," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude for the efforts and dedication shown by the security forces, healthcare workers, and all government agencies — both federal and state — who have been working tirelessly to manage the welfare of flood victims.

Anwar acknowledged their sacrifices, stressing that despite being separated from their families, their hard work would be remembered as a vital contribution to the nation.

Earlier today, the Prime Minister visited flood relief centres in Terengganu, where he was deeply moved by the preparations and support provided to the victims. (https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2024/12/1142553/pm-lauds-flood-respon...)
