KUALA LUMPUR: A joint enforcement operation involving four authorities last night resulted in 161 compounds issued and seven cars towed for traffic offences, including obstruction.
The operation involved Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the police, the Road Transport Department, and the Environment Department.
It was the fifth operation of its kind this year, focusing on vehicles obstructing traffic and ignoring road signs.
"A total of 161 compounds were issued for various offences, while seven vehicles were towed away. Items were also seized from four roadside traders," DBKL said.
DBKL added that it will continue monitoring hot spots and taking action periodically.
