KOTA KINABALU: Kunak assemblyman Datuk Norazlinah Arif has lodged a police report after being "punched" by another elected representative.
The alleged incident occurred at the Sabah Legislative Assembly building on Wednesday night.
She later uploaded a video showing Merotai assemblyman Sarifuddin Hata "punching" her right shoulder.
Sarifuddin responded in the comment section of the video on the same day, claiming it was a misunderstanding.
The Warisan representative said they were friends and that he was greeting her playfully.
"I had no intention of hurting you, please forgive me," he wrote.
Norazlinah filed a police report on Friday, stating that her shoulder and arms still hurt.
The Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah rep added that she and her husband have forgiven Sarifuddin, though she believes the incident should serve as a lesson to all.
