KUALA LUMPUR: The police have collected more than RM2.1 million in summons payments on the second day of the 60 per cent discount offered during the Madani government's second-anniversary (2TM) programme.
Federal Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said that as of 5pm today, a total of 24,390 traffic fines had been settled
"The MyBayar PDRM platform saw the highest number of transactions, with 17,201 summonses paid, resulting in RM1.5 million.
"A total of 5,327 summonses were paid through e-payment, generating RM474,920.
"Another 1,862 summonses were settled in cash, bringing in RM166,470," he said when contacted today.
Earlier, Yusri said yesterday that the police collected RM2.1 million in traffic fines on the first day, with a total of 24,400 traffic fines having been settled.
He said the top three most paid summonses were for traffic obstruction, ignoring traffic signs and speeding.
