KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian products showcased at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (Mihas) in Dubai have significant potential to compete on the global stage, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said many local halal products, including those by Bumiputera entrepreneurs, presented at the international event, demonstrated the high quality and immense potential to penetrate global markets.
"I didn't miss the opportunity to visit the booths displayed here (Mihas@Dubai 2024).
"Alhamdulillah, I am very proud to see so many local halal products, including those from Bumiputera entrepreneurs, now showcased on the international stage. These products demonstrate the quality and great potential of Malaysia's halal products to compete globally.
"I also had the opportunity to visit booths from various states, ministries, agencies, and Bumiputera companies, featuring excellent and innovative halal products. These have great potential to break into global markets and open new opportunities in this rapidly expanding industry," he said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) today.
Ahmad Zahid added that Malaysian entrepreneurs involved in Mihas@Dubai 2024 should take full advantage of the available opportunities.
"May our halal products continue to be recognised worldwide, further strengthening Malaysia's position as a leader in the international halal industry. Insya-Allah," he said.
