KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Speaker Ramli Mohd Nor today reprimanded a member of Parliament for using his phone during the proceedings of the Dewan Rakyat.
The incident occurred after Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan concluded his debate on the Supply Bill 2025.
"Thank you, YB Tasek Gelugor. Meanwhile, MP Hulu Selangor, is it an urgent call? I can hear you from here. Is it your wife calling? If it's that important, please step outside," Ramli said, pointing to the exit.
The Hulu Selangor MP, Mohd Hasnizan Harun from Perikatan Nasional, was addressed directly by Ramli, who then resumed the session by calling on Ledang MP Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh.
A total of 27 MPs are participating in today's debate on the 2025 Supply Bill at the policy level.
